Nominations are now open for the Government of Alberta’s 2013 Great Kids Award.
“Our province is full of incredible young leaders who do great things to help others at home, at school and in their community. This is a tremendous opportunity to show our gratitude and share their inspiring stories with all Albertans,” said Human Services Minister Dave Hancock. “I encourage you to nominate a special child or youth whose kindness and dedication have made a positive difference in your life or the lives of others.”
This is the 13th year that the provincial government will present the Great Kids Award to children and youth who display outstanding generosity and compassion for others, along with leadership in their community. Albertans between the ages of 5 and 18 are eligible to be nominated.
Sixteen Great Kids will be selected to attend a special awards ceremony in Edmonton. All recipients will receive a trophy and prize package from West Edmonton Mall, IBM and accommodations at the Fantasyland Hotel.
The deadline for nominations is December 5. For more information and to receive a nomination form, call 780 415 0085 (toll-free by first dialing 310-0000) or visit www.greatkids.alberta.ca
