According to Fire Chief Dave Cox, the partial Fire Ban recently imposed on the Pincher Creek area has been downgraded to a Fire Prevention Notice. Citizens are asked to please use caution when burning.
Cox cautioned that, should dry weather resume, the Fire Ban might have to be reinstated.
Fire Prevention Week 2012 will be observed from Sunday, October 7 to Saturday, October 13. The theme for this year is "Have two ways out".
